Arborist fertilizing a tree in a landscaped lawnROOT FERTILIZATION TREE SERVICES

Root fertilization is an essential part of properly caring for your trees and shrubbery. Because your plantings will probably remain in one location for their lifetime, fertilizing your trees and shrubbery helps them look better and live longer. Lacking fertility and not having vital nutrients causes plants to become more susceptible to damage from insects, diseases and other environmental stresses.

Our soil-probe injection method of fertilizing also fractures compacted soil, thus providing more oxygen to the roots. Adequate oxygen is essential for root growth and survival. If your trees and shrubbery have not been fertilized in the past year, now is the time to do so. Fertilization also improves the flowering of ornamental trees.

Ivy climbing a treeIS IVY HARMING MY TREES?

English Ivy Hedera helix is a popular evergreen ground cover with a strong desire to climb and smother. It grows well in shady and sunny locations, and if not maintained, will find its way up your trees and shrubs. Ivy, for the most part, is not constricting, girdling, or parasitic. But, because of its dense foliage, it camouflages structural defects and blocks sunlight. The reduction in light weakens the tree and leads to its decline. In winter, ivy can be very attractive on tree trunks when so much is gray. Have the tree trunk inspected to be sure that the ivy is not choking the tree's canopy.
